Walt Disney World released Thanksgiving and Christmas 2021 food & drink menus for Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Disney Springs, and resort hotels. In this post, we’ll share the savory snacks, decadent desserts, and offer thoughts on the returning items and more.

The holiday season begins at Walt Disney World runs from November 12, 2021 to early January 2022, with Magic Kingdom starting slightly earlier for Disney Very Merriest After Hours and Epcot’s International Festival of the Holidays beginning after Thanksgiving. As with the entertainment and substance of the Christmas celebration, a lot of food is returning after a relatively scaled back season last year. There are over 200 items on the lists below, which is easily triple what Walt Disney World offered last year. The resorts and Disney Springs, in particular, are serving up more robust Christmas culinary lineups…

Overall, a big lineup of food for Thanksgiving and Christmas in the resorts, Disney Springs, and some of the parks. It’s really nice to see more table service restaurants, especially in the hotels, offer special drinks and desserts for the holiday season–and for Walt Disney World to release specifics about where these will be served, rather than it being a wild goose chase and pure chance.

Our biggest complaint is the weakness of Magic Kingdom’s Christmas lineup. The snack and dessert options are incredibly weak, and it’s odd that Coronado Springs, Riviera Resort, and even Gasparilla Island Grill or Beach Club Marketplace alone have better Christmas menus than Walt Disney World’s flagship theme park. That’s just lazy, and a real disappointment given that we spend more time in Magic Kingdom than any other park during the Christmas season. With that said, the other additions and changes seem relatively good, and several of the new items look promising. We’ll be sure to taste test as many as possible and let you know what’s worth your time, money, and stomach space!
